 In-Home
Design Consultation.
Our process starts with your first call to our office and we
schedule a free, In-Home Consultation to discuss your ideas
and explore possibilities. This meeting allows for our
design team to brainstorm with you on alternatives and
adaptations for your project and to help define the project
scope. We take full measurements and photographs of the
areas to be renovated. During this meeting you will be shown
examples of other home renovation projects similar to yours
for us to gain even more insight into your expectations,
your desired finishes, and desired features. This allows us
to design a preliminary project layout and budget.
The Design and Design Presentation.
As a Design/Builder, we use our years of construction
experience to develop working sketches of the project from
which we are able to determine a budget. In some instances,
several viable designs may evolve and this is the
opportunity to perform a cost benefit for the different
designs. A detailed written project description is created
that spells out specifically the renovation work, specific
details, and a budget. At the follow up Design Presentation
Meeting, usually scheduled within a week or two, the written
proposal and drawing are discussed and fine tuned for final
approval. Several meeting may take place to refine the
design, identify the selections, and adjust the scope.
 The Blueprints & Permits
Final construction blueprints are completed based on the
approved project proposal and working sketches. Any required
site engineering surveys and plans are also completed and
submitted to the governing municipality by our team along
with the construction blueprints for Permit issuance. While
the permit is being processed, selections are finalized and
materials are ordered and staged for delivery once the
Permit is issued.
Scheduling & Construction Management
The true key to a successful renovation is being on-time and
on-budget while exceeding your expectations. This starts
with a clear schedule, well defined details and good
communication. We are in constant communication with you
during the entire process, through our daily site visits to
manage and monitor work, daily emails to relay updates and
information to you, and the distribution of paperwork. This
constant communications gives you full confidence and
control over your home and your project.
Management
Our team manages every aspect of the construction process.
Prior to the start plastic barriers are installed between
the renovation area and the living spaces. Carpet runner,
floor paper, and tarps are installed to protect existing
finishes around and in the workspace. Your home will be
locked and unlocked daily by a team member in your absence.
Completing the Renovation.
The final days of construction are very exciting and it is
at this point, that you will take a final walk through of
the renovation with our team. Any concern that you have will
be noted and resolved prior to finishing your project. The
final day of construction is completed with the removal of
all construction debris, removal of the contractor tools,
while a professional cleaning crew shines everything to a
sparkle ready for you to move in and enjoy. Your
satisfaction in the renovation is very important to us.
Referrals through happy and satisfied clients are what make
us stand out from the others. |
